The OPTIPAK™ media case is a revolutionary new CD/DVD package that sets a new standard for effectively merchandising movie, game, and other media content at the retail level.
The package consists of a durable, injection-molded plastic frame, integrated with a very unique, flexible, dome-shaped disc hub. The frame is bonded to a printed paperboard or plastic die-cut cover. The cover offers numerous eye-catching visual effects through the use of various printing techniques, materials, and manufacturing methods such as embossing, foil stamping, holograms, die-cut windows, and specialty films. The OPTIPAK™ offers twice the graphic space versus other plastic case in the market (it has two inside graphic panels) and uses approximately 40% less plastic - a big environmental plus! The Hub Rom Pak line of packages consist of injection molded plastic styrene trays married to printed paperboard or plastic covers. Rom Pak trays can hold a complete range of products, including CD's, DVD's (including the new generation high density formats), as well as formats for memory cards, credit cards, phone cards, and gift cards.
Rom Pak's offer dramatic, exceptional, eye-catching graphics. The outer paperboard skin can be decorated using Hub Folding Box's proprietary LIQUID INK TECHNOLOGIES™, or techniques such as foil stamping and embossing, eye-catching materials such as metallized polyester, foil board, and holograms. Rom Pak's are available in several configurations, including multiple tray formats; the trays themselves are available in an assortment of colors. The ENVIROPACK™ is an environmentally friendly all paperboard media package made out of totally recyclable material. The ENVIROPACK™ protects the environment. The Teddipack tm is manufactured from wood pulp derived from "managed forests" - which are constantly being replenished by the forest and paper industry. The ENVIROPACK™ is a very "green" alternative for disc packaging compared to plastic jewel cases and plastic "style" cases.
ENVIROPACK™ is lightweight, sleek and efficient - at ⅓ the bulk and ½ the weight of a jewel case, it fits current store and display racks while freeing up additional retail space due to its slim format. The ENVIROPACK™ built-in sleeve pocket holds the disc securely without ever damaging it. Multiple disc pockets are possible in all kinds of shapes, sizes and configurations. A ENVIROPACK™ will not shatter or cracks like a jewel case or other plastic cases can. The outer cover has unlimited Graphic capabilities, it can be foil stamped, embossed, and can utilize Hub's proprietary LIQUID INK TECHNOLOGIES™.
ENVIROPACK™ can also incorporate a wide range of anti-piracy devices including Flying Null Technology, Sensormatic Tags, Checkpoint tags or labels, high security threads, holograms, high security watermarks and security printing technologies. This means you have a total security solution in an easy to use, economical and "environmentally friendly" package.

As you open the book style cover an inside panel which holds the disc automatically pops up at you - hence the name "Boing". A clever die cut foam/plastic film hub secures the disc to the pop-up panel. Since it is made out of paperboard, exciting visual effects can be created through various printing techniques, foil stamping, embossing, and use of numerous material options. The BOINGPAK™ is a playful, cost effective way to present your media content - either as a direct mail piece or at retail.
Various CD/DVD Packaging
At Hub, there are several manufacturing processes at our disposal to create media packaging which is innovative and unique. Our custom-built windowing machines can produce paperboard/plastic window configurations that display your disc in interesting fashion. We have a plastic thermoforming division in house that can design and produce custom CD/DVD trays, clamshells, etc. We also design for and oversee the production of components from other sources to give you the best packaging options possible.
